Foodborne Illness
Each year many millions of people contract foodborne illnesses
 from eating unsafe foods, and thousands die as well.
Many of these cases go unregistered because they are
 sometimes hard to diagnose or they are simply not reported.
 Often foodborne illnesses come in the form of stomach cramps and diarrhea.
People get sick for a few days and are unsure whom to blame, or simply let
 the illness pass. Because of this, the true number of foodborne illnesses
in the United States is hard to establish, but the Center for Disease Control
"estimates that each year roughly 1 in 6 (or 48 million people) gets sick,
 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die of foodborne diseases."

Now I have you attention?  I hope you enjoy my stories.  If you are new to scribing or want to become a scribe then you are in the right place!   To start out as a medical scribe you may enroll via FASFA or other state program grants for Texas it is the WIA.  It is best, and cheapest to pass your Jr. College class in Anatomy & Physiology, also medical terminology courses.  If you cannot get to college because you do not have a ride I suggest contacting your local Jr. college or high school automotive program that gives away vehicles to indignant family's or persons.  NPR's show about fixing cars also gives away vehicles.   A great start for me was joining my local volunteer fire department and ambulance service.  These services some times they even employee felonies through volunteer work to keep them productive in society.

Can I get that number?

Generally, you don't want to have to dial that number while you are sitting at you desk, but every paramedic will know if you grab the doctors radio in the hospital and yell ADAM.  Or 10-33. spoonerisms-mondegreens eggcorns and malapropisms #PastorSpooner Those might be great things to be talking about at the water cooler but always have that safe word ready.  If you can't dial security. I will try and list some helpful numbers here that we should all know by heart. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088. No that doesn't include keyboard embedment syndrome... but I will add more as I go.

Pharmacy

Never mind keeping something above to remind you of something higher, like the hospitals that have marijuana growing above you, unseen and obscured by the ceiling tiles, or the meth spewing from the vent systems in some hospitals. Live Science states, " cocaine or heroin on their hands to trip very sensitive instruments called mass spectrometers."  What they fail to mention are these in-house hospitals have cocaine for nasal surgery's.   Think we can wash our hands of this as a medical community?  Think again...
